My name is Gilmar Pupo, I’m 40 years old, I’ve been married to psychologist Julia Pupo for fifteen years and we have two children, David and Rafael. I am a member of the First Baptist Church of Curitiba where I actively participate in sports related work, international service and teenage mentoring. I am also a musician and writer of the adventure and fantasy novel entitled Jeff lighter than air . I attended the Theological Institute, I graduated in Information Technology Management, postgraduate in Information Technology Project Management and also postgraduate in Information Technology Security Management. I work professionally as Chief technology officer of SOCIETA.CO , managing the technology of social projects.
In 1986, at the age of nine, recently moved to the city of Cascavel, in the western state of Paraná, south of Brazil, influenced by the martial arts films of the 70s and 80s, I practiced Karate Shotokan where I received the yellow belt . Along with his friends, he used and made slingshots, zarabatanas and throwing guns, which was a somewhat dangerous game by today’s standards 🙂
In 1991 I met Master Jorge Coronel, an Argentine black belt of Taekwondo, associated with the Songahm Taekwondo Federation, presently founding president of Evolution Defense System, with whom I studied for about three years, receiving the green belt and also training for instructor.
In 2012 my wife practiced WyngTjun ISMA and then rejoined my martial content.
We moved to Curitiba in 2013 and 2014, attended Jiu-Jitsu classes at one of the Gracie Barra schools and also attended classes in Pa-kua martial arts, Pa-kua arcade and Pa-kua court weapons, at the Pa school -Kua in the Mercês district of Curitiba.
I currently practice Jiu-Jitsu, student of Anderson Vargas, team Gile Ribeiro and practice and teach the masters Arqueria, Weapons and Martial Training in Pa-Kua schools along with my children.
Em comemoração antecipada ao dia do atleta, recebi menção honrosa na Assembleia Legislativa do Parana, representando os @atletaspibcuritiba e os praticantes de Pa-Kua do Estado.
